Effective 24 October 2026. Applies to the OSINT Swarm iPhone app, the Android app and this website.
Using the site and the apps is also covered by the terms of use.
Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
If you allow notifications, the app sends our server these things so it can deliver alerts:
Alerts reach your phone through Apple's or Google's push service, which receives the token and the alert text to deliver them. The server also keeps a log of when each alert was sent and whether Apple or Google accepted it, identified only by the first eight characters of the token.
The Android app handles notifications as described above. On a phone without Google Play services it cannot receive pushes, so it checks the server about every 15 minutes instead and sends us nothing about you. Its map screen opens this website's map page, which is counted like any other visit. The website counts visits without cookies. For each page load it stores the page, whether the device is a phone or a computer, the country (from our network provider, Cloudflare), the site you came from, and a visitor code. The visitor code is made from your connection and browser with a secret that is discarded every day, so it cannot identify you, cannot follow you from one day to the next, and your IP address is never stored. These counts are kept for 90 days and are seen only by the site owner.
Only to send you the alerts you asked for. It is never sold, shared or used for anything else.
Turn notifications off in the app's Settings tab: the server deletes your token and places immediately. Deleting the app has the same effect the next time Apple reports the token as no longer valid. Delivery logs are kept for at most 30 days.
News headlines, public aircraft and ship positions, and analysis published by this server. The app does not access your location, contacts, photos, microphone or any other personal data on your phone.
The content is gathered automatically from public news feeds and open data, including news found through the GDELT Project, aircraft positions from adsb.lol (ODbL) and adsb.fi, and ship positions from aisstream.io. Map tiles are from Esri and OpenStreetMap contributors. Headlines can be machine-translated and the briefs are written by AI; both may be wrong.
OSINT Swarm is not affiliated with the Home Front Command or the State of Israel. Official alerts: oref.org.il.
